Affiliate Disclosure

Last updated: February 11, 2026

🐸 The short version

Some links in BasketFrog earn us a small commission when you make a purchase. This never costs you extra and never influences which alternatives we recommend. We only suggest products from companies that meet our ethical criteria — the affiliate relationship is just how we keep BasketFrog free.

How Affiliate Links Work

When BasketFrog suggests an ethical alternative to a product or store, the link may contain an affiliate tracking code. If you click that link and make a purchase, the retailer pays us a small commission (typically 1–15% of the purchase price). This comes out of the retailer's marketing budget — it does not increase the price you pay.

Our Promise to You

🌱 Ethics first, always. We select alternative recommendations based on ethical criteria such as environmental practices, labor standards, B-Corp certification, Fair Trade status, and other values-based benchmarks. Whether or not a company offers an affiliate program has zero influence on whether we recommend them.

💰 Transparency is non-negotiable. Whenever an affiliate link is present, we clearly indicate it. You will always know when a link supports BasketFrog financially.

🤝 Your trust matters most. If we ever discover that a recommended company no longer meets our ethical standards, we will remove the recommendation — even if it means losing affiliate revenue.

Affiliate Networks We Work With

BasketFrog may participate in affiliate programs through networks including Impact.com, Awin, Amazon Associates, CJ Affiliate, and direct partnerships with ethical brands. Each of these programs has its own terms and conditions. Our participation in these programs does not constitute an endorsement of every product available through these networks.

What This Means in Practice

When you see a suggestion like "Try [Ethical Brand] instead," and you click through and buy something, here's what happens: you pay the normal price, the retailer gives us a small cut of the sale, and that money helps us keep BasketFrog free for everyone. If the ethical alternative doesn't have an affiliate program, we still recommend them — we just don't earn anything from it.

FTC Compliance

This disclosure is provided in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission's guidelines on endorsements and testimonials (16 CFR Part 255). We are committed to transparent and honest communication about our financial relationships with the brands and retailers we reference.
